Artist Quote: A mystifying somewhat foreboding feeling dominates this painting giving a sense of history, tradition and intrigue. For years fisherman and have earned their living as well as entertained and traveled via sailboats and schooners. In this painting we are shown that that tradition in some form continues in the midst of a beautiful yet subtle sunset. The deep color of the foreground and the land mass between sky and sea provides a natural color pool for both the motion filled sky and its reflective mirroring sea. This is a very different impressionistic depiction which will provide many thought filled moments.
